Dental Crowns Before & After
by Dr Silverman

It is not uncommon for chips and breaks to occur on teeth in the smile zone. This can be a result of accidents or habits such as nail biting, grinding your teeth or even sucking on acidic fruits like lemons or limes. If you have badly broken, decayed, worn down, chipped or eroded teeth we usually restore your smile with dental crowns. The dental crown creates beautiful esthetics and also wraps 360 degrees around your tooth (like a helmet) to protect from future damage.

Dental Veneers Before & After
by Dr Silverman

If you have relatively minor chips, cracks, gaps and stains to your front teeth, we may use veneers to restore your teeth and smile. Veneers are also ideal for misaligned teeth that are too big/small, crowded, turned or have too much space between them. Veneers are the most conservative option and require minimal preparation of the teeth to achieve a great esthetic outcome. Dental veneers are sometimes referred to as ‘instant orthodontics’, as this process only takes a few weeks to complete.

Dentures Before & After
by Dr Silverman

Missing teeth can cause many problems from eating and speaking to your smile and self-esteem. Dentures are recommended for patients who are missing a majority of their teeth or if a number of tooth extractions are required. Dentures can be made prior to the tooth extractions and can be inserted on the same day that the teeth are removed, so you never leave the office without teeth. Dentures are most ideal when anchored to implants as this will prevent the dentures from moving while maximize chewing function. If you are missing only a few teeth in the smile zone you may require a dental bridge or implant to replace the missing teeth with a beautiful and strong restoration.

Tips & advice from Dr. Silverman:

Wondering why you have one tooth that is a lot darker than other teeth?

The tooth most likely has been injured in the past. The nerve and blood vessel in the tooth can slowly break down and stain the tooth from the inside out. Often this process occurs without any symptoms. A root canal is required to fix this tooth. To restore the appearance of the tooth, a special whitening procedure or a crown is used.
